Honey cookies with Emelia molasses

The most delicious Honey Cookies you have ever tasted with Emelia molasses


  • 200g sunflower oil

  • 100g Emelia molasses

  • 140g orange juice

  • 200g of orange juice and 200g of orange zest

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 1 tsp. cloves

  • 100g semolina

  • 450g of all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda (heaping spoonfuls)

  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder

  • 2 teaspoons of breadcrumbs (coarsely chopped)

Ingredients for the syrup:

  • 250g water

  • 250g molasses

  • 100g honey

  • 100g of honey (100 ml).


In a bowl, add the sunflower oil, Emelia molasses, orange juice, baking soda, orange zest, cloves, and cinnamon. Mix well to combine, add the semolina and slowly add the flour and baking powder until the dough is soft. Shape the melomakarona into any shape you like. Bake the melomakarona at 170 to 180 degrees for about 20 to 30 minutes. Set aside to cool and prepare the syrup.

For the syrup

Mix all the ingredients. Once they come to a boil, turn off the heat and leave it on for 5 minutes, stirring gently with a wooden spoon. Pour the syrup over the honey cookies or dip them one by one into the syrup. Sprinkle with plenty of walnuts!
